THE MOUNTAIN

That mountain is stationary

And yet it lives

And- I wonder why-it’s ever satisfied

For its belly never turns flaccid

Yet- I wonder how! - It never feeds

That mountain lives, I swear!

I saw its tears during eruption

That mountain lives for certain!

I heard it mimic my voice

That mountain lives I said

It drank all the rain water.

That mountain is stationary

And yet it lives

And when – I wonder- does it digest?

It consumes water but never excretes!

It’s a non living which is living indeed!

That mountain- I wonder who! – Who rules it?

Nature! And it’s beautiful:

Top-shaved uniform vegetation

From a perspective

With trees singing within,

A chorus of a lullaby

As the birds sing the verses,

The winds whistle in tune

With the vegetation a clothing

And the mountain asleep- as peaceful as itself

For the mountain lives but is stationary.

I can *see* your mountain! Very good strong imagery --

I love your analogies, especially the flaccid belly. Very unique. The singing trees, chorus lullaby, birds and wind whistling are also another great highlight in the poem.
